Assistance network

The ASLs are Healthcare Companies that provide services of a widespread type in the territory and, sometimes, but not always also hospital-type services. In Piedmont there are 22 ASLs which are further divided into districts. In the field of rare diseases the ASLs take care of the local assistance of the patients and of the delivery of the drugs, through their own Hospital Pharmacies; in addition to the local health authorities , the Hospital Healthcare Centers, Hospital and University Centers and the IRCCS are involved in the Piedmontese regional network of rare diseases.
