Use of cookies
The following information is provided to the user in implementation of the provision of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data of 8 May 2014 "Identification of simplified procedures for the information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies".
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text strings that a website can send, while browsing, to your device (be it a PC, a notebook, a smartphone, a tablet; they are usually stored directly on the browser used for navigation) . The same website that sent them can then read and record the cookies that are on the same device to obtain various types of information. Which? For each type of cookie there is a well-defined role.
HOW MANY TYPES OF COOKIES ARE THERE?
There are two basic macro-categories, with different characteristics: technical cookies and profiling cookies.
Technical cookies are generally necessary for the website to function properly and to allow navigation; without them you may not be able to display the pages correctly or to use some services. For example, a technical cookie is essential to keep the user connected throughout the visit to a website, or to memorize the settings of the language, display, and so on. Technical cookies can be further divided into:
- navigation cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas);
- analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies only when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site.
- functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
Profiling cookies are more sophisticated! These cookies have the task of profiling the user and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing.
Cookies can, again, be classified as:
- session cookies, which are deleted immediately when the browser is closed;
- persistent cookies, which - unlike session cookies - remain within the browser for a certain period of time. They are used, for example, to recognize the device that connects to the site, facilitating authentication operations for the user.
- first-part cookies (first-part cookies) i.e. cookies generated and managed directly by the manager of the website on which the user is browsing.
- third-party cookies (third-part cookies), which are generated and managed by parties other than the operator of the website on which the user is browsing (by virtue, as a rule, of a contract between the website owner and Part Three).
WHICH COOKIES DOES THE SITE USE?
This website uses a first-party technical cookie and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) which uses anonymized third-party cookies for the purpose of access statistics. For this the website does not need the cookie consent banner, but only this explanation in the privacy policy.
GA4 was designed as privacy-focused to work with or without cookies and is centered around the idea of tracking user ID instead of cookies. The most popular way to do this is to use Google Tag Manager (GTM) which is used. GTM can create a random clientID on each page download. This means that the user will be anonymous in all respects, but GA4 can still monitor his behavior on the site.
Google Analytics 4 is based on proprietary cookies that keep them compliant with new privacy laws such as the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act .
Changes such as those occurred in Apple's iOS14 Safari browser and Firefox's tracking protection confirm that the future will be without cookies because for some years the browser has been allowed to block third-party cookies and others if required for some years. .
For more than a decade, private browsing has also existed in all browsers with which the browser automatically performs various operations aimed at anonymous browsing, including limiting cookies as well as third-party programs.
The responsible and ethical policy with which we intend to deal with aspects relating to Privacy is to include clear descriptions of how cookies are distributed from the website.
Therefore, the table below is a list of anonymized cookies that the website may store on your computer in order to collect usage statistics:
