Rare patients: not only drugs but integrated pathways

On the occasion of World Rare Disease Day, Thursday 28 February in Turin at the Multimedia Room of the Region, c.so Regina Margherita 173, a meeting will be held open to all interested parties.

Also this year, Rare Disease Day is celebrated at the end of February. Many events organized by associations around the world.
The theme of the XII edition 2019 is " We integrate Health Care with Social Assistance " and the A-RARE Forum , in collaboration with the Coordination Center for Inter-regional Rare Diseases Network of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta (CMID) , ASL City of Turin , organizes a meeting entitled " Rare patients: not only drugs, but integrated paths " for Thursday 28 February from 10 am to 5 pm at
the Multimedia Room of the Piedmont Region, C.so Regina Margherita 174, Turin . The topics covered during this day will range from school inclusion to work placement, from the transition from the pediatric age to adulthood and Integrated Home Care.

 

 

The A-RARE Forum is made up of 35 Associations of rare diseases from Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta and was established in 2017 with the aim of uniting the individual items of the Associations into a single point of contact for the institutions that can promote the culture on diseases rare.
In October it was also inaugurated, thanks to the availability and collaboration with the Interregional Rare Diseases Network Coordination Center (CMID), a listening center inside the S. Giovanni Bosco Hospital, through which the Associations provide information in bio terms - psycho-social, on different aspects related to rare diseases, acting as a link between the families and the health and social services offered by the Piedmont area.
